GEORGE MAINARD METCALF It is with great sadness that we announce the accidental death of George Mainard Metcalf at the age of 35. George leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Susan (Boel), son Tyler George and daughter Julia Deanne. He will be greatly missed by his many family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Ben who died in a construction accident four and one half years ago at the age of 35. They are now together. Georges memory will be cherished by his parents, George and Ellen Metcalf, brother Brad, brother Jim (Debbie), sister-in-law Lianne (Ben), brother Blake and wife Darlene, sister Bonnie and husband Lou, sister Michelle and husband Dave, and brother Shawn and wife Nicole; as well as nieces and nephews, Jessica, Ryan, Colleen, Kristin, Shane, Kody, Kayla, Courtney, Patrick, Daniel, Bentley, Cory and Katherine. Also left to mourn George are in-laws, Patricia and Charles Klapecki, and Karel and Rosie Boel; grandparents, Mabel and Slim Celsie, Rita Robinson and special "Grandma" Janet Connell; as well as many aunts and uncles. George was born in Toronto on October 15, 1965 and resided in London, ON until the age of 11 when the family moved to Lac du Bonnet, MB. At the age of 17, he met and fell in love with Susie. At the age of 20, George and Susan moved to Winnipeg to start their life together. They were married on November 8, 1987 and enjoyed 13 years of happiness and joy. George was a very caring and loving father, husband, son, brother and uncle. George spent his life as an automotive technician and for the last ten years was employed by Giardino International. He was a very hard and conscientious worker who took great pride in what he did. He will be missed by everyone. Our family wishes to thank the Lac du Bonnet and Pinawa Ambulance attendants for all of their assistance. Also a big thanks to family friend John Gibson of Provincial Helicopter for his kindness and support. Our thanks would not be complete without mentioning all our friends for their support and love, in particular Jim and Lynn Dolphin for without their support I know we could not get through this terrible time. George, you were the most wonderful husband and father in the world. Your voice, your touch, your love and your laughter will be felt in our hearts forever. I will love you forever and always. Until we meet again. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at CIBC River East Banking Center, 1433 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB, in trust for Tyler and Julia.
