BRENDA PATRICE MORROW (nee BATY) Suddenly, at the Concordia Hospital on Monday, March 5, 2001, Brenda Patrice Morrow, aged 36 years, of St. Andrews, MB. She leaves to mourn her untimely passing, her beloved husband Scott and two precious daughters, Madison and Morgan ("the girls, arent they wonderful") her parents Alan and Pat Baty; sisters Alanna Carter (Mark) of Dublin, Ireland and Corinne Baty (Vassilios) of Athens, Greece; her grandmother Isobel Walaschuk; nieces Jacqueline Baty and Rileigh Frank; and numerous other relatives and friends. Brenda was raised in Selkirk and attended the University of Manitoba where she proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Human Ecology Degree. She later attended the University of Manitoba where she obtained a Masters of Science Degree. Brenda married her beloved Scott in 1992. They enjoyed many wonderful years of love, happiness and friendship together. Scott and Brenda spent the first part of their life together in Minneapolis, where they both attended university. They later moved to Edmonton where their first daughter, Madison Patrice was born in 1996. Two years later they were again blessed with another daughter, Morgan Paige. Last year they moved home because they realized that the most important thing in life was to be with their family and friends. Brenda was the most devoted and loving wife and mother that anyone could possibly be. Her whole life was her family, which she had several years to enjoy before her untimely passing. Brenda brought joy and happiness to all she came in contact with. She loved music and dancing, nature and animals, feeding the birds, gardening and decorating her home. Brenda lived life to its fullest, she had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. She had a strong faith in God and was always there for others. She was a great listener and opened her heart and home to all. Most of all, Brenda loved spending time with her husband and children. Brenda will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but will live on through her beautiful daughters whom she adored. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Church, Selkirk, with Rev. Hugh Laidlaw officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Clements Cemetery, Selkirk. Her pallbearers will be Brent Morrow, Jeff Frank, Mike and Trevor Kreviazuk and Ron and Bob Baty. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Epilepsy Association, 825 Sherbrook, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5 or to the Christ Church Memorial Fund, Box 186, Selkirk, MB R1A 3B2. Comes the Dawn After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and sharing a life. And you learn that love doesnt mean possession, and company doesnt mean security and loneliness is universal. And you learn that kisses arent contracts and presents arent promises. And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open, with the grace of a woman not the grief of a child. And you learn to build your hope on today, as the future has a way of falling apart in mid-flight, because tomorrows ground can be too uncertain for plans. Yet each step taken in a new direction creates a path toward the promise of a brighter dawn. And you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you plant your own garden and nourish your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that love, true love, always has joys and sorrows, seems ever present, yet is never quite the same, becoming more than love and less than love, so difficult to define. And you learn that, through it all, you really can endure, that you really are strong and that you do have value. And you learn and grow with every goodbye. You learn. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
