ESTHER MIDDLETON (nee PHILLIPS) On Friday, March 2, 2001, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Esther, widow of Robert John Middleton, peacefully passed away at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Middleton and Geraldine and her husband Donald Seaton; grandchildren, Jennifer, Margaret and James; sisters, Nancy and Norma of South Wales. Esther was predeceased by her son Ian Robert Middleton in 1954. Born on January 7, 1914 in Treorchy, Rhondda Valley, Mid Glammorgan, South Wales, Esther served as a Registered Nurse in South Wales and London, England during The Second World War. In 1942, she married Robert and in 1946, came to Canada as a War Bride. A special thank you to Dr. D.M. Miller and Home Care staff Stella, Susan and Beatrice who made it possible for our mother to remain at home, in familiar surroundings, as long as possible. A private graveside service will take place. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of ones choice.
