STEVE TURZAK 1915 - 2001 It is with sadness that the family of Steve Turzak announce his passing at St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, March 6, 2001. Dad was born on July 23, 1915 in Winnipeg. Following service in the Second World War, he married Helen McShane and remained in Winnipeg until his death. Dad worked at Kiewals Brewing Co. and later at Labatt Brewing Co. and he also worked part time with the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires on weekends until he retired in 1980. Retirement provided him with his first real opportunity to relax. Dad enjoyed visits from his family and watching golf, tennis and news on TV. He also enjoyed the several cats he had, as, he said, they gave him a reason for living after his wife Helen passed away. He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen; brothers, John and Fred and his parents, George and Eudocia. Dad is survived by his son Raymond and daughter-in-law Bev; son Grant and daughter-in-law Lorraine; grandchildren, Tammy husband Wes and their son Brayden, Tara and husband Chris; Laura and Grace; plus many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Reverend Carl Tarnopolski presiding. Interment has taken place at Brookside Cemetery in a private family ceremony. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface for their care, kindness and understanding during his illness. Dad was greatly loved by his family and he will not be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Winnipeg Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
