JEAN RYMAN (nee SCHREYER) It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jean Ryman after a brief struggle with cancer on March 6, 2001 at Concordia Hospital. Jean will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her lifetime lover of 54 years Fred; her children, Dollie (Chris) Jensen, Fred "Tony" (Heather), Carol (Albert) Munn; grandchildren, Scott, Doug, Mike, Jennie, Sheryl, Jon, Carrie; and nephew Lloyd (Sharon) Schreyer. She will also be remembered by other extended family and many special friends. Jean was predeceased by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters, and one granddaughter Sharon Dawn. Jean was born in Cromwell, MB in 1917. As a young girl her family moved to the McMaster District in the Interlake where they had a homestead. Then as a young adult Jean moved to Winnipeg and met and married Fred, a Hong Kong Veteran, when he returned from the war. Fred and Jean moved to Hodgson, MB where they operated a store and restaurant until 1958. Then they moved to Winnipeg where Jean owned and operated restaurants until her retirement in 1982. Jean always enjoyed time with her family and often said that she was happiest when her family was with her and she could prepare a meal for them. She loved to cook and host people in her well kept home. Jean was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for and will be missed by all. Jeans family would like to thank all the staff at Concordia Hospital, especially the staff in Emergency and on 3E for their compassionate care. A special thank you also to Jeans minister, Rev. Rick Condo for his prayers and support. If friends so desire, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of ones choice. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 9 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Saviours Anglican Church, Munroe and Grey Street. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, with a reception to follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
