Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH MOSKAL November 14, 1919 - March 7, 2001 It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of Joe after a lengthy illness, beloved husband of Lorna, father of Ken (Leola) and Janice (Russell) Kozoriz, grandfather of Alexander and Halle Kozoriz who brought much joy to Joe. Joe was born in and lived in Winnipeg all his life. He attended Dominion Business College and served in the Canadian Army (RCAMC) from 1940 to 1946. He joined the Winnipeg Fire Department, working there for 20 years and then 10 years as a Fire Prevention Officer, retiring in 1977. Joe enjoyed his retirement years very much, pursuing his hobbies such as bowling, photography, and attending Seniors classes at the University of Winnipeg. He spent many winters in San Diego, went on Caribbean cruises, and trips to Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Great Britain. Summers were spent at Steep Rock, swimming, fishing and gardening. Joe was a kind and loving man, always willing to help family and friends. He will be missed by brothers, Mike (Olga), Frank (Elsie) sister Helen; sisters-in-law, Helen Moskal, Edie Shiells, Marge Shiells; brothers-in-law, Norval (Ethel) Shiells, Dennis Shiells; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Ave. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
