JOHN HARASYMCHUK It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Harasymchuk at the Health Sciences Centre on March 8, 2001. John was born on February 7, 1927 in Winnipeg, Man. John was a very hard working man, having worked on large project jobs up North (Dew Line) as a pipefitter with Local 254, Winnipeg, Man. A beloved husband, father and Gigi, John leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Anne of 47 years; son Larry John (Colleen Rakowski) daughter JoAnne (Sheldon Hawkins) daughter Darlene (Harry Pubben) precious grandchildren, Shawn and Raymond and Anna Pubben; sister Anne Mestgagh; sister-in-law Ollie Lys; brother-in-law Bill Lys and wife Rita; his pal dog Ernie; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Lena; brothers Bill and Mickey; sisters, Freda Gerus, Mary Huyda, Ollie Greening and brother-in-law Steve Lys. By Johns expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 12 at Holy Eucharist Parish, Munroe Avenue and Watt Street with Rev. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Special thanks to Dr. R. Davey, Dr. Sharma and Dr. A. Lawrence Tan.
