RAYMOND KEITH COOK Passed away peacefully at Third Crossing Manor, Gladstone on Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at the age of 84 years. Raymond was born on June 16, 1916 at Gladstone, MB. He grew up on the family farm in the Pembroke District and received his education at Pembroke and Gladstone Schools. Raymond farmed with his brothers in the Pembroke District for many years. In 1989, he retired to Legion Place and in December, 1999, he moved to Third Crossing Manor. Raymond centered his life around farming. In his earlier years he enjoyed curling and watching other sports. He had been a member of the Gladstone Curling Club and the Gladstone Legion # 110 and was also a member of the Gladstone Elks Lodge # 317. He was predeceased by his parents, Claus & Mamie Cook; sister Lottie; brothers, Ivan, Lloyd, Elmer, Richard, Wilbert and Joseph. Left to mourn his passing, his brothers, Howard and Bert Cook of Gladstone; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Cook and Ruth Cook of Winnipeg, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. in the Gladstone United Church with Rev. Blair Whyte officiating. Interment will follow at the Gladstone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Third Crossing Manor Courtyard Fund, Box 1000, Gladstone, MB, R0J 0T0.
