Jo was predeceased by her parents Albert and Elizabeth Francis. Jo was born in 1923 in Winnipeg. She completed her schooling in Winnipeg and worked as a bookkeeper for Coca-Cola prior to her marriage to Ray Botterill. Jos family resided in Alberta for several years prior to relocating to Brandon in 1963. Moms interests over the years included bowling, cross-country skiing, curling, bridge, I.O.D.E., Mardi Club. Her beloved husband Ray passed away in 1973. Mom enjoyed music and outings during the 1980s with her special friend Bob Patterson until his death in 1988. Bob was affectionately known as Mr. P. to the entire family, as he was much more than just a father-in-law to Jolene. Most important to Mom was her family. Sunday suppers were highlighted by Moms excellent cooking. She loved to entertain and there was always room for one more. Mom enjoyed spending time at Clear Lake during the summer. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whose pictures decorated her walls and fridge. Although her illness took its toll on her physical condition, her memory remained sharp and intact. Viewing for family and friends will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North, Brandon, on Sunday, March 11 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service for Jocelyn will be held at St. Matthews Cathedral, 403 - 13th Street, Brandon, on Monday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m., with the Very Rev.
