HERMAN SCHILKE Herman Schilke was born on December 24, 1907 in Russia, the son of Pauline and Stanislau Schilke. He was baptized during infancy in the Lutheran Church in Russia, and moved in 1914 to Steinbach, Man., where he was confirmed. He was united in holy wedlock to Matilda Schilke (nee Fiebelkorn) on November 9, 1937. Herman Schilke was predeceased by his wife Matilda on June 12, 1992. Surviving him and mourning his death are his sons, Bernard and his wife Denise, Donald and his wife Margaret; his daughters, Beverley Kennedy and her husband Robert, Margaret St. Germain and husband Gerald, Darlene Jones and husband Terry; Predeceased brothers, Rudolph and his wife Amelia, Emil and his wife Paula, Leopold and his wife Augusta; sisters, Wanda and husband Friedrich Beulov, Otelia and husband Rudolf Schultz, Anastazia and husband George Bell; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, March 12 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Tuesday March 13, at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St. His bodily remains will be laid to rest in the Brookside Cemetery of Winnipeg until the day of the resurrection.
