Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD PLUNKETT It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jerry Plunkett on March 8, 2001 in Cabarete Beach, Dominican Republic with his wife Connie by his side. He leaves to mourn his wife of 29 years Connie; daughters, Rebecca (Jared), Melissa (Harry) grandchildren, Emilee-Rose, Nicole and Caleb; brothers, Don (Sandy), Rick (Tracy), Gary; sisters, Gail (Gord), Simone (Mike) and his special sister Louise (Don) sister-in-law Carole (Tom) brother-in-law Jim (Kathy) and mother-in-law Sadie Hoard, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Simone Plunkett. Jerry moved to Pinawa in 1964 with his family. He began working with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited in 1972 and was presently working as a member of the Decommissioning Team. He loved his job and all his co-workers, and always spoke of them with kindness. Jerrys legacy was his love for the Lord, his children, grandchildren, his family, nieces and nephews and his wife and best friend, Connie. Jerry was the rock of our family and the first person wed turn to for prayer or support. Jerry was known for his patience, kindness and willingness to help and give of himself to others. He always had time for everyone, and his quick wit always brought a smile to his wide circle of friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 16 at 4:30 p.m. at the Pinawa Community Centre, Vanier Drive, Pinawa, Manitoba with Jane Petkau presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Interlake Credit Union in Pinawa in support of a childrens orphanage in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, which Jerry and Connie were planning to support, or to the charity of ones choice.
