FRANCIS (FRANK) GEORGE EDMONDS Frank Edmonds, beloved husband of Diane, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 11, 2001 with his family by his side. Frank will also be missed by his son Bruce and wife Cherie, and daughter Tracy husband Scott, and daughter Valerie and husband Ron; his grandchildren, Steven, Neal, Ashley, David, Adam, Kara and Allison. Frank is also survived by a sister Louise (Howard) and brothers, Grant (Carol) and Allan (Eleanor) mother-in-law, Margaret Harris; son-in-law Gerry; and many nieces and nephews. Frank was born March 1, 1945 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg to Nellie and William Edmonds. He grew up on the family farm and made agriculture his lifetime endeavour. His early career years were spent with Cockshutt and White Farm Equipment. In 1978, he purchased Lawson Sales, a well known Interlake Farm Equipment Dealership, as well as running Lawsons at Headingley, and planning and developing the dealership on the Perimeter Highway. The business was his pride and joy. He also farmed west of Warren until his battle with ALS prevented him from continuing. He was a good husband, father and well respected, kind hearted person. He maintained the sparkle in his eye and famous sense of humour until his last day. Frank touched many peoples lives. The family wish to thank the exceptional friendship and care provided by Larry Czarnecki, Dr. David Breckman and staff, Diana Rasmussen and the Deer Lodge ALS team. Tom, Gerry, Bridget, Holly, Manuel, Gilles, the wonderful Home Care team who made a difference to Frank. We would especially like to thank David Sinclair, who sacrificed much and made Franks journey an adventure. There were many other people who provided a few laughs for Frank along the way and we thank them all. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made to the ALS House Fund, in care of ALS Society of Manitoba, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3.
