Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEUGENIA VILLANUEVA GERARDO 1945 - 2001 It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Eugenia Villanueva Gerardo, on March 12, 2001, at the age of 55 years, at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Eugene will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by Gomer, her loving, caring and devoted husband of 23 years; her daughter Jeanette and boyfriend Richard and her son Edward. Also left to cherish her memory are her parents Teodolfo and Leonora Villanueva; sisters, Delia (Abner) Habulan of Winnipeg, Emma (Niel) Ferrer of Winnipeg, Cristita (Pedro) Salvador and children; Regina Villanueva and Dolores (Rolando) Sibastian and children all from the Philippines; brothers, Narciso (Naty) Villanueva and children; Rufino (Victoria) Villanueva and children; and Elpidio (Inday) Villanueva and children all from the Philippines; her mother-in-law Aurelia Gerardo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Socrates, Cesar, Sol., Jerry, Joel, Noel, Santiago Jr., and Nellie Alcarez and their families; as well as many relatives, acquaintances and friends from all over the world. She was predeceased by her father-in-law Santiago Gerardo Sr. in December 1998. Eugene was born on April 11, 1945, in Guimba, Nueva Ecija Philippines. She moved to Holland, Netherland, in 1968 where she worked as a seamstress. It was here when she started her pen pal with her one and only true love, Gomer. She then moved to Winnipeg in 1974 where she worked at Rice Sportswear. In 1977 Gomer came to Winnipeg from the Philippines and they were married on July 23, 1977. Eugenes last place of employment was with Richlu Manufacturing. Eugene will be remembered for her love of the outdoors. She looked forward to the summer season when she would go camping, fishing and long driving with her family and friends. She also looked forward to the weekends when she could play cards and / or "Mahjong" with her friends and family and especially the 03-15-2001
