Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN HALL-KEMPSON October 24, 1943 - March 12, 2001 It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Allan Hall-Kempson (born Kempson), beloved husband of Rozanna and father of Mandy, Warren, Tracy and Lisa. He passed away gently at his home surrounded by close family. Allan was born in Manchester, England and came to Canada in 1981 where he worked at Canadian Bronze (CAE) as a CNC Operator for 14 years. He served as Shop Steward and later Union President of Local Unit #174B. He later worked for his longtime friend, John Turner, as a machinist at Exact Machine Ltd. Allan was an Active Member at the A.N.A.F. Unit #283 for 20 years where he was involved in Darts, Snooker, Entertainment Committee, MCing the Meat Draw, and running the Cribbage League. He and his snooker partner, Bill Lacoda, were best known for their "sand bagging" method of play. Wherever Allan went, he made friends. He was loved and respected by all that knew him. His incredible singing voice and talent for comedy will be sorely missed. In 1995, Allan came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour, and freely passed this message on to all who would listen. Besides his wife and children, Allan will be greatly missed by his four sisters and one brother, Jean and Ray Hart, Dot and Cliff Cook, Ray and Ann Kempson, Evelyn and John Hough (all of England), and Ann and Ed Grosvenor of Winnipeg; his four grandchildren, Mully and Grady Kempson, Amy and Emily Stevens (all of England), and his step-daughter Anna and Cliff Evans (of Minneapolis), plus many nieces, nephews and in-laws. We, the family, are very grateful for all the doctors and nurses that attended to Allan during his illness, with special mention to Barb Bell and Catherine Napier. We are also truly grateful for all the prayers and support given by family and friends, too numerous to mention, the ministering elders at The Meeting Place, and the concerned members of Grey Street United Church. Memorial services will be held at A.N.A.F. Unit #283 on Thursday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. and at The Meeting Place, 139 Smith St., on Friday the 16th at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society of Manitoba.
