Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES NIETRZEBA After a brief illness, on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Frances Nietrzeba, passed away at the age of 100 years. She was predeceased by her husband Ludwig in 1986, and over the years, by four sisters and only brother. Frances leaves to mourn her son Robert (Louise) grandchildren, Kevin (Tanya), Laurie (John) and Martin; and also her sister Kay Ogrysko; and many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and Poland. Frances was born in Poland on November 3, 1900 and immigrated to Canada in 1923. She married Ludwig Nietrzeba in 1934. She was employed at Picardys Bakery, retiring in 1965. She enjoyed her retirement years looking after her garden and various pets. She was admitted, because of her age, to the Holy Family Nursing Home on March 19, 1996. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave., with viewing starting at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Henryk Uczniak officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kevin and Martin Nietrzeba, John Ogrysko, Ray Rittwage, Nick Wasylik and John Dynkavitch. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the Holy Family Nursing Home, nurses and staff, and a special thank-you to Cecelia Farbaniec and Barbara Karhut for their care and compassion, provided throughout the years.
