MARY IRENE DYCK (nee SMITH) Suddenly on March 13, 2001, at her residence, Mary Dyck, beloved wife of Nicolai Dyck, died at the age of 74 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by his children, daughter Betty (Norm) Casault, daughter Anita (Gordon) Kroeker, son Robert (Darlene) Dyck, daughter Edith (John) Perin; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mary was predeceased by her parents. She was the youngest of eight children and leaves to mourn three siblings as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary and Nicolai were active in Albright Evangelical Church until their move to Transcona, when they joined and became involved in the Transcona Alliance Church. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Pastor Steve Janz officiating. Interment to follow in Transcona Cemetery. Reception at the Transcona Alliance Church, 751 Kildare St., at 3:30 p.m. Viewing prior to the service at the chapel. The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the love and care Mary gave to Dad. Also, thank-you to the staff of Park Manor, friends and neighbours of East Park Lodge, where she will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in Marys memory to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel; 338-0331.
