Also remembering her will be her beloved nieces and nephews, Carol Dellevoet and husband John; Penny Kelly and husband Brian; Cindy Meleck and husband Mike; Laura Grant; Theresa Grant-Pantano and husband Tony; David Davidson; Tracy Love, husband Don Watson; Sandy Love; Corri Love, husband Rob Cecile. Great-nieces and nephews, Shawn and husband Urs Bill; Alexandria Dellevoet; Nino and Enzo Panto; and her special little ones, Kira and Hunter Watson, Marisa and Christina Meleck. She loved seeing the littlest ones of our family She will also be missed by her special cousin, Jim Fenwick and Mariana Gosnell. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her brothers George, Alan and Ken; infant niece Lindsay Love, and her brother-in-law Albert Cartwright. Margaret graduated from Kelvin and went on to Business College. Soon into her career, she went to work at the Imperial Bank of Canada and after 17 years she joined the firm of James Richardson and Sons Limited. She was executive secretary first for R.D. Baker and then to Norman Alexander. She greatly admired both men and was proud of her association with them. She was also a proud member of the "Quarter Century Club" with "The Firm" and enjoyed the dinners each year that honoured new members into its fold. She retired from Richardsons in 1976 after 30.5 years of service and went onto new adventures. Margaret was a longtime devotee of classical music and the arts. From its inception and for several years after, she held season tickets to the W.S.O. She had a longtime personal friendship with Gladys Swarthout (Metropolitan Opera Company). She attended MTC for many years and supported local artists. In 1938, she won an award for best radio play for her play "Destiny Delayed" from the Womens Canadian Club of Toronto competition. This work was broadcast nationally on CBC. Margaret lived at the Maples Personnel Care Home for seven years and during this time she became involved in the resident council. She never missed a meeting and held positions on the executive, first as vice-president, and recently as president until her demise. She always attended the welcoming teas for new residents and welcomed them on behalf of the council. She also was the editor of the resident newsletter and in this role, learned how to use a computer. Even in her eighties, her zeal for learning new things did not diminish. Margaret loved life, especially train trips, wildlife, music, her family, travel, Christmas, and the big prairie sky. She felt blessed to live in a country of such richness. The family would like to thank the staff and the volunteers (past and present) at the Maples P.C. Home for the care and service throughout the last seven years. Special thanks to Barb, Jeanette, Jane, Darlene K., Jean, Doug, Peter, Cris, Evelyn, Charlotte, Fay, Loreen, and the food service staff. Kira is going to miss your mashed potatoes and gravy! Thank you to Shirley for the recent support and all the staff who have been so sympathetic and so kind during the last few days with us. Tracy would like to thank Eileen (retired) and Marlene at CIBC Eaton Place, for all their help throughout the years. As per Margarets wishes, there will not be a service. Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery at a later date. No flowers please. Donations greatly appreciated to the Humane Society or the Childrens Clinic at Childrens Hospital. Aunt Marg loved watching the birds, so in her memory if you can, erect a bird feeder and feed the little creatures that gave her so much joy. We will miss her and always remember her.
