E. H. (YVONNE) ROBERTSON (nee CLARKE) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Yvonne passed away on March 14, 2001 at the Riverview Healthcare Center. Yvonne was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, later moving to Neepawa, Manitoba where she was educated and later worked for the Bank of Montreal. During the war years, she lived in Ottawa and worked for the Department of Munitions and Supply, later returning to Neepawa. Yvonne married in 1948 to Ross Gordon Robertson of Carman, Manitoba; together they spent many years living in different communities throughout Manitoba and British Columbia and finally settled in Winnipeg in 1967. During Yvonnes life, she was involved with The Order of the Eastern Star, The Parish of St. Patrick and St. Jude Anglican Church and was also a friend of Lois W for many years. Aside from her many friends, Yvonne leaves to mourn her passing her children, Heather (Art) Mitchell, Kathy Robertson (Cam McLeod), and Gordon (Leona) Robertson; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Kayla, Chrissy (Terry) Hanstead and Dan (Margaret) Mitchell; her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob and Kira; her brother Jim Clarke; her brothers-in-law, Martin Taylor and Garnet Robertson; her nieces and nephews, Lyn Taylor, John (Linda) Clarke, Terry (Alma) Robertson, Harvey (Cheryl) Robertson, Donna (Ed) Epp. She was predeceased by her husband Ross, her brother Gerald and sister-in-law Bea Clarke, her sister Florence (Molly) Taylor, her sister-in-law Della Robertson, and her parents A.P. and Daisy Clarke of Neepawa. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 2:30 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. John L. Moore officiating. The service will conclude at the Chapels. The family would like to express their gratitude to "The Liver Club", Dr. Rosser, Rose and Claudia, Home Care professionals Barb Bel RN and Mary Ashcroft, Dr. Marr and the nurses and staff on 3E of the Riverview Healthcare Center. A special thank you to Dean MacCannell and Becky Foster for the special kindnesses to Yvonne and family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice are graciously accepted.
