PERE ALBERT JOBIN, o.m.i. 1911-2001 Paisiblement, a la residence Casa Bonita a Saint-Boniface est decede le Pere Albert Jobin, o.m.i., le 17 mars 2001 a lage de 89 ans. En plus de sa famille religieuse, les Oblats de Marie Immaculee, il laisse dans le deuil sa soeur Sr Jeanne, mo. Albert Jobin, est ne a Quebec le 12 avril 1911, fils Wilfrid Jobin et dAmanda Paradis. Le 20 juillet 1934 il prit lhabit chez les Oblats de Marie Immaculee a Ville LaSalle, QC et a ete ordonne pretre le 29 juin 1940 a Lebret, SK. De 1941 a 1990, le Pere Jobin a exerce son ministere en Saskatchewan, au Manitoba et en Ontario. Il a ete professeur, predicateur, aumonier, missionnaire, vicaire et cure. En 1950, il sest occupe de loeuvre de lintronisation du Sacre-Coeur dans les foyers. En 1990, apres 50 ans de service, il prend sa retraite a la Villa Maria. Cependant, les urgences de la Mission appellent et en 1994, a lage de 84 ans, il recoit une obedience pour servir la communaute de Saint-Laurent en qualite de co-pasteur. De 1996 a 1998, il est missionnaire dans la region de Sainte-Rose-du-Lac, MB. En mai 1998 il rejoint ses confreres a la retraite a la Casa Bonita. Les Oblats de la province oblate du Manitoba ainsi que la famille Jobin desirent exprimer leur sincere reconnaissance envers les membres du personnel de la Casa Bonita qui ont su entourer le Pere Albert Jobin de leurs soins et de leur affection. La messe de la resurrection sera celebree pour le P. Albert Jobin, o.m.i. en lEglise du Precieux-Sang, 200, avenue Kenny, Saint-Boniface le mardi 20 mars a 14h. La depouille mortelle sera exposee a partir de 13h30. Linhumation suivra au cimetiere de Saint-Boniface. FATHER ALBERT JOBIN, o.m.i. 1911-2001 Peacefully, at the Oblate Residence Casa Bonita in Saint-Boniface, MB, Father Albert Jobin o.m.i., died on March 17, 2001. He was 89 years old. Besides his Oblate family, he leaves to mourn his sister, Sr. Jeanne Jobin, mo. Born on April 12, 1911 in Quebec City, Albert Jobin entered the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Ville LaSalle, QC in 1934 and was ordained to the priesthood on June 29, 1940 in Lebret, SK. Father Albert Jobin was a professor, a preacher, a chaplain, a missionary and a parish priest in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. In 1990, after 50 years of service, he retired from active ministry. However, because of the serious shortage of priest, he returned to active ministry in 1994 as co-pastor of St. Laurent, MB and in 1996 he was named on the missionary team in St. Rose-du-Lac. MB Since 1998 he has resided at the Casa Bonita in St. Boniface, MB. The Jobin family and the Oblates wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Casa Bonita for their care and affection for Father Albert Jobin during the time he spent at the Casa. A Funeral Mass for Father Albert Jobin, o.m.i. will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 at the Precieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny Ave., St. Boniface with viewing beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
