Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN "MAY" HOLLIDAY (nee McINTYRE) Following a lengthy illness on Thursday, March 15, 2001, at the Portage District General Hospital, Evelyn "May" Holliday, passed away at the age of 85 years. Funeral service will be held at the Knox United Church, Oakville, Man., on Tuesday, March 20, at 2:00 p.m., with Judy Bouchard officiating. May was born on July 23, 1915 in Oakville, Man., only child of Robert and Agnes (Sherritt) McIntyre. She received her education at Mill Creek and Oakville Schools. She married Dawson Holliday on June 26, 1935. They then farmed on the family farm until retirement in 1970. She remained on the farm until October 1996, when she then moved into Oakville. May enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her garden, flowers, knitting, sewing and baking. She loved playing cards, dancing and being with friends. Family gathering were always held at the family farm. Predeceased by her husband Dawson in 1995; her father Robert in 1961 and her mother Agnes in 1969; she leaves to mourn her passing son Bob (Robin) of California, grandchildren, Tod, Trudy, David of Vancouver; daughter Patricia (Donn) Leslie of Oakville; granddaughter Lori (Barrie) Tully of Marquette, Man., great-granddaughter Megan; granddaughter Deanne (Dale) McLeod, great-granddaughters, Nicole, Allyssa, Heather; granddaughter Karen Leslie (Tony) all of Oakville; daughter Jean McIvor of Winnipeg; granddaughters, Tracey of Calgary, Alta., and Tammi of Winnipeg. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Oakville United Church Fund, Oakville, MB R0H 0Y0 or to the Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524 - 5th Street SE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8.
