MARIE SHANDROSKI (nee OZOHAN) Peacefully, on Friday, March 16, 2001 Marie, age 76 years, dearly beloved wife of Nick, passed away at the Ste. Anne General Hospital. Left to cherish Maries loving memory are her husband of 49 years, Nick; sons, Fred (Donna), Ken (Pat) grandchildren, Adam, Heather, Allison, Daniel, Andrew, Ally; nephew Wayne (Geri) Slobodian and family; niece Phyllis (Dave) Gehle and family and numerous relatives. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Valerie Ozohan; brother Frank and sister-in-law Mary Ozohan; sister Wanda and brother-in-law Joe Slobodian and nephew John Slobodian. Marie was born on Tuesday, August 19, 1924 in Winnipeg. She was employed by the T. Eaton Co., until she married Nick in 1951. They then moved to Hadashville, where she resided until her demise. She was a member of the Hadashville Ladies Auxiliary Club and was a Chartered member of the Hadashville Womens Institute. She participated in the publication of the history book Packsack of Seven Decades. Marie served as secretary treasurer of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hadashville. She was also a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church and The Reynolds Seniors Club. She was always willing to lend a hand for any community event and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing Bingo and spending time with her much loved grandchildren. With respect to Maries wishes, cremation has already taken place. Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m., at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hadashville. Rev. Deacon Victor Humniski officiating. Burial will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Slobodian, Adam, Daniel and Andrew Shandroski. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the Doctors and Staff of the Ste. Anne Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. Donations in Maries memory may be made to the Ste.
