HELEN McGALL Helen McGall passed away on March 14, 2001 at the Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, at the age of 89 years. She is survived by niece Beverly Kevin and family of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Joyce Schiewe; nephews, Warren Schiewe and family, Wayne Schiewe and family all of Vancouver, B.C.; Wallace Greenlay and family, Greg Anaka and grandson Guy Neil and family, all of Winnipeg. She is further survived by her special friend of over 30 years, Carl Bolf. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Michael Stadnik; her husband Bill McGall; brother Al Stadnik; sisters, Kathleen Schiewe, Mildred Greenlay, Josie Anaka; brothers-in-law, John Greenlay and Walter Schiewe; daughter Joan Neil and son-in-law Roy Neil. Special thanks to Dr. Bergan and the fantastic nursing staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home and Chaplain Laura Friesen. Helen was a very special person, with a warm heart. She was conversant on many topics. She had a great love for nature, animals and was a talented gardener. In addition to being a wife and mother during her working career she was employed by The Bay in Winnipeg. She moved to Shilo with her husband. Upon her husbands passing, she returned to Winnipeg and secured a position with Eatons in Ladies Wear (Coat Department) where she was a highly respected and valued employee until her retirement. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at 3:00 p.m., at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Chaplain Laura Friesen officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. If friends desire, donations may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, R2L 1X3.
