JOHN MYTRUK (1923 - 2001) John Mytruk peacefully passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, March 19, 2001 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn his wife of 52 years, Victoria (nee Forzley) son Tom (Deb), daughter Terry Garland, daughter Pat Bencharski (Frank), son Ken (Karen), daughter Vicki Roberts (Jim) ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. John was born in Winnipeg and attended school at St. Johns High School. He later served in the armed forces during the Second World War. After the war he married his longtime sweetheart Victoria. John went on to join the Canadian Pacific Railway where he was a locomotive engineer until his retirement in 1985. He loved spending time at the cottage at Breezy Point where he enjoyed his fishing. John loved his family and his grandchildren. The family wouldlike to give special thanks to the nurses at the Health Sciences Centre Emergency Ward who showed care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Johns memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Private family inurnment at Brookside Cemetery.
