ELIZABETH ROLLAND deDENUS Peacefully, following a lengthy illness on March 19, 2001, Elizabeth "Betty" Rolland deDenus passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 81 years. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, George (Doreen) and Gerald (Janice) her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christine, Gregory, Michael and Daniel. She also leaves her brother Henry (Audrey) Ostwald; her sister Mary (Don) Scarth; sisters-in-law, Margaret Ostwald, Chris Stothers; brother-in-law Henry (Margaret) deDenus and long time friend Peggy Stokes. Betty was predeceased by her husband Marcel; parents, Adam and Elizabeth Ostwald; brother Adam (Cory) Ostwald. Betty enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. She was a member of the St. James Rebekah Lodge No. 47 and El-Hagar Zuanna. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street with the Major Gordon Jarvis officiating. The family wish to extend special thanks to Dr. Mulder, Palliative Care unit staff and Majors Gordon and Doris Jarvis of the Grace General Hospital for their care and compassion.
