Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAGDALENA BRODER (nee PFAFF) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Magdalena Broder, mother and Oma, on March 18, 2001, at Seven Oaks Hospital, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; her parents Barbara and Balthasar and her brother Balthasar. Magdalena will be lovingly remembered by her sons, George and Joseph, along with their wives, Barbara and Herta; grandchildren, George (Mariola), Monica (Joe), Krista (Jan) and Theresa (Vince) great-grandchildren, Katrina, Alanna, Cassandra, Haille and Sydney and numerous nephews and a sister-in-law Magdalena Pfaff. Magdalena was born in Karavokovo, Jugoslavia, on October 12, 1919. She married Joseph in February 1937 and immigrated to Canada with her family in June 1956. After settling in Winnipeg, Magdalena worked continuously to support the family. Whatever time she has was spent gardening and attending St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church. Prayers will be said on Friday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church on Mountain and Andrews. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dado Parrenas on Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Josephs Church. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Reception at St. Josephs. We would like to thank the staff and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital Third Floor for their care. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart Foundation.
