EVELYN MARGARET DORRETT On March 21, 2001, Evelyn Margaret Dorrett passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Evelyn was born in Dartford, Kent, England on March 31, 1903. She arrived in Canada with her parents in June 1914. She was educated in Brandon and taught school there for 20 years. Evelyn moved to Winnipeg and was employed by the Government of Canada from January, 1945 to the date of retirement in 1968. She was predeceased by her mother in 1948, father in 1955, brother Leslie in 1959 and sister Muriel in 1966. Evelyn is survived by her nephew Reginald and wife Isabelle, niece Marian and husband Bayard, as well as four great-nephews, two great-nieces, five great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23 in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy St. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cathedral Cemetery.
