CHARLES STANLEY (CHAPPY) CHAPMAN October 9, 1922 - March 20, 2001 Unexpectedly, on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 Stan passed away at the age of 78 years. Left to cherish his memory are his dear wife Joyce; children, Bev Coates (Peter), Linda (Brian) Shopka, Judy Hossack, John (Joanne) Chapman, Rob (Barb) Chapman, Wendy (Rob) Thomson, Susan Ollinger, Debbie (Mitch) Eden, Michael Chapman, Kerry Hill, Tracey (Mike) McGill; 22 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn and Isobel; also good friends Joe and Carol. He was predeceased by his father, John, mother Mary, brother Frank and sister Kay. Stan was employed for many years as a tool and dye maker at Pydee Engineering. After his retirement, he enjoyed the summers at the cottage in Sandy Hook, gardening and best of all designing and making projects for the family. Stan was a talented, artistic, good hearted and a devoted family man. We will all miss you dearly. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Should friends so desire, donations in Stans memory may be made to Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6; or to the Manitoba Heart Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
