Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICOLAI JOHN DYCK On Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at Park Manor Personal Care Home, Nicolai John Dyck died at the age of 87 years. Left to mourn his passing are his children, Betty Casault (Norm), Anita Kroeker (Gordon), Bob (Darlene) and Edith Perin (John) grandchildren, David Wyllie, Carolynn Puhach (Chris), Cameron Kroeker (Corinna), Kevin and Laura Dyck, David and Taylor Perin; great-granddaughter Ashley Puhach; brother George Dyck (Sybil) sister Margaret Siemens; as well as several nephews, nieces and their families. Dad was predeceased by his first wife Helena in 1958 and second wife Mary on March 13, 2001; parents, Johann and Anna Dyck; siblings, John, Agnes, Annie and Peter; as well as grandson Jackie Wyllie. Dad was born on June 25, 1913 in Dolinsk, Russia and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1926. The family settled in the Niverville, MB area, where Dad helped on the family farm until his marriage to Helena. He then worked at various occupations in southern Manitoba. Dad was for many years a successful Watkins salesman, a job that suited his outgoing personality perfectly. He then worked in the construction industry, and for some years before retirement was a maintenance man at the Canadian Wheat Board. Dad loved people and enjoyed chatting and laughing with them. Dad had a strong Christian faith and was involved in the worship and work of the church throughout his life. He and his second wife, Mary, were active at Albright Evangelical church, and upon moving to Transcona joined the Alliance Church. Marys untimely passing on March 13 had a profound effect on Dad. His prayer was also to go to his eternal rest. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Pastor Steve Janz officiating. Viewing prior to the service. Interment in Niverville Cemetery at 5:00 p.m. Thanks to the staff at Park Manor for the care and attention they gave Dad, especially after Moms sudden death. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick or Mary Dycks memory to the Transcona Alliance Church, 751 Kildare St. E., Winnipeg. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
