Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAUREEN SIMPSON (nee WHITE) Maureen Simpson of Surrey, B.C., passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, March 7, 2001, aged 68 years. She is survived by her loving husband Duane Simpson; one son Mark (Joan) two daughters, Holly (Scott) and Valerie (Ross) grandchildren, Haley, Jared, Gregory and Alisa; three sisters, Shirley Pogson of Brandon, Man., Joan Brandstrom of Winnipeg, Man., and Wilma Foster of The Pas, Man. Maureen was predeceased by her daughter Christine and her mother and father, Beatrice and William White of Neepawa, Man. Maureen was born March 1, 1933, in Vernon, B.C., and her growing up years were spent in Sheffield England and the Neepawa area. She married Duane Simpson on October 27, 1955, and raised their family in Winnipeg, Brandon and Dauphin, Man.,finding their way to Sunny White Rock, B.C., in the early 80s. Throughout Maureens life her gift of writing has been shared with all who knew and loved herfamily, friends and sometimes complete strangers. Even though her family and friends were far afield, she kept them close to her heart through her passion for letter writing. A memorial service was held in Surrey, B.C., on Tuesday, March 13. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureens memory to be made to the charity of your choice.
