ELMA G. REMPEL Peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2001 at her childrens residence in Stenen, Sask., Mrs. Elma Rempel of Rosenort, Man., beloved wife of the late Frank T. Rempel, passed away at the age of 81 years. She was born on November 9, 1919 in Rosenort, Man. to Gerhard F. and Margaret Goossen. In 1944 she married Frank T. Rempel. To this union were born seven children. Left to cherish her memory are four sons, Melvin (Irene) of Stratford, Ont., Gerald (Jessie) of Thompson, Herb of Rosenort, Ray of Rosenort, two daughters, Leanne of Rosenort, Aldine (Rodney) Goossen of Stenen, Sask.; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Eva Goossen of Steinbach, Leah Goossen of Steinbach Maplewood Manor, Caroline Robson (Jim) of High River, Alta., Elizabeth Pniowsky of Winnipeg, one sister-in-law Adina Isaac (Ben) of Roblin, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frank T. Rempel in 1981, one daughter Gloria in 1964, one brother Willie Goossen. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ in Rosenort, Man. with Minister Elmer Penner and Minister Weldon Hiebert officiating. Viewing was held on Wednesday, March 21 between 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach and at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
