IRENE MACDONALD (LOW)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE MACDONALD (nee LOW) With her family at her side, Irene passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at the St. Boniface Hospital after a brief struggle with heart disease. She will be missed by her loving husband Frank; her children Linda, June and Bruce along with his wife Cheryl. She will also be missed by her four grandchildren, Terra, Carter, Danielle, and Vanessa. She will also be held forever in the hearts of her brothers, Jim and Jock and their families; numerous nieces and nephews and especially Barry, Jim and Barb; her brother-in-law Bob and his wife; and Charlotte Macdonald, who happened to be Irenes dear friend of over 60 years. Irenes best friend and card partner, Gladys Barclay along with her friends at Earl Grey Community Club and various other card clubs will sadly miss her company. Irene was born in Winnipeg on May 23, 1926. She grew up, married and raised her family in Fort Rouge. She was an active member of the community and volunteered at Earl Grey Community Club for over 40 years. The Monday night whist players will sadly miss her. Irene enjoyed playing bingo and baking and we will all treasure the crochet and knitting that she has lovingly done for her family and friends. "Skeeter" and Frank had 53 wonderful years together and enjoyed 19 Cuban holidays where they made many friends. Special thanks to the dedicated nursing staff of the St. Boniface Hospital MICU who were so compassionate with their care. A celebration of her life will be held at the family home, Sunday, March 25 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
