Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY PICHURSKI Peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2001, Stan passed away at the Betel Home in Selkirk. Stan was predeceased by his parents, Wanda and Charlie; brother Walter; sister Stella and his beloved sister-in-law Mary who provided many years of loving care for Stan and whom he missed very much. He was also predeceased by his step brothers, Walter, Joe and Emil Pichurski. Stan is survived by his sister Zela Bontaine and his brothers, Ed Pichurski and John Jameson, all of the Greater Toronto area. After living in Winnipeg Beach for two years, Stan moved to Selkirk in 1993 to reside at Walske Residence and join the day program of Arc Industries in Selkirk. As a warm and friendly man, Stan drew great enjoyment from his friends and acquaintances at Arc Industries, from his much anticipated vacations at summer camp, from his love of gardening and woodworking, evening coffee outings with Mike and Murray, and the rewarding experiences of the social and sports programs attached to Special Olympics. Stan will be warmly remembered and deeply missed by all his friends at Arc Industries and his fellow residents and caregivers of Walske Residence. Thank you to the staff of Betel Home and Selkirk and District General Hospital for their kindness and special care provided to Stan. Funeral service will be at the New Life Community Church, 479 Eveline St., Selkirk on Tuesday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Arni Petruska officiating. Cremation to follow. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
