OLGA RYZNER On March 21, 2001, Olga Ryzner of Alonsa, MB passed away at the age of 84 years. Olga was born March 4, 1917, the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Shyiak. She grew up and received her education in Alonsa. In 1943, she married Sebastian Ryzner and they farmed in the Alonsa District. Olga enjoyed gardening, playing cards and cooking. Olga enjoyed playing cards at the New Horizons with her many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Sebastian on May 2, 1994; sister Mary Sul; brothers, Roman Shyiak, John Shyiak, Steve Shyiak, Peter Shyiak, Joe Shyiak and Walter Shyiak. Olga is survived by daughter Cecelia and husband Eugene Assailly of Winnipeg; son Larry and wife Eunice Ryzner of Alonsa. Grandchildren, Darryl and wife Tracy, Charmaine and husband Ken, Elliot and wife Marcie, Jared and wife Lorilee, Chad and fiancee Crystal, and Adrian. Great-grandchildren, Damon, Jayce, Riley, Matthew and Janelle. Also many other relatives. Prayers will be held Sunday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Alonsa. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the Alonsa Community Centre under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Chris Soeterboek will be officiating, with interment to follow at the Alonsa Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Shyiak, Fred Kopytko, Hugh Owens, Clifford Szewczyk, Joe Ryznar and Boris Kopytko. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Alonsa; or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
