TESSIE DYCK (nee NOVAK) August 20, 1924 - March 22, 2001 After a brief illness, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Tessie leaves to mourn her husband Peter; daughters, Karen Wade (Jim) and Shirley Dyck; son Robert; grandchildren, Trevor Dyck and Crystal and James Wade; sisters, Beatrice Novak, Katherine Levandosky, Dorothy Berard, Eva Zomar (Nick) brothers, Jack (Claire), Isaac (Jean) and Ed (Marie). Mom sacrificed everything for her family. She was frail in appearance but possessed immense strength of spirit. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and doctors of GH4 at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion during Moms final days. Prayers will be held on Monday, March 26 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St. Mass will be held on March 27 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements in care of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 338-7111. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, "Come to Me." Thanks for all the years you gave us, And for the times we shared, We only pray that when you left us, You know how much we all cared. "We love you Mom, and We will forever miss you."
