Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD BRISSETTE Suddenly but peacefully, on March 24, 2001, Edward (Eddie) Brissette passed away at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Marguerite Brissette; daughters Gloria Wagener (Christopher, Justin, Echo, Naomi) Shirley (Ken) Mann (Rachelle, Karlin) sons George (Kathy) and Dennis (Jeannette), (Jennifer and Cassandra) brothers Arthur (Jennie) and Fred (Cecile) sisters Dorothy (Bill) Herwander, Yvonne (Jack) Krieger and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Alice and one brother, George. Eddie was born on October 25, 1921 in South Junction, Manitoba but lived most of his life in Winnipeg. He joined the RCAF in January 1943 and served in Europe and the Pacific Islands. He obtained his plumber/steamfitter certificate after returning to Winnipeg and worked for many years for the Department of National Defence at Fort Osborne Barracks. Eddie was a loving and caring Christian family man who took great pride in his eight grandchildren. He never had a harsh word to say about anyone and was the first one to offer a helping hand in any situation. His patience was endless and he always looked on the bright side of life. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was always ready to win a game of cards. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family, relatives and many friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King R.C. Church, 847 St. Marys Road. A private family interment will take place at a later time.
