ERIC ARTHUR JOHANSON Eric Arthur Johanson passed away peacefully March 23, 2001 at Riverview Health Centre at age 86. Arthur was born in Percival, Sask., March 7, 1915 to Per and Kerstin Johanson. He was the youngest and last surviving member of seven children. Arthur worked as a hospital orderly at the Health Sciences Centre for 34 years, retiring in 1979. He leaves to mourn his wife, Malvina; daughter Lina (Ron) Bestvater and children, Lianna and Michael; daughter Grace Johanson and children, Andrew and Steven. Special thanks to the staff on 3 East of Riverview for the support and loving care of Arthur during his stay and for all the 86th birthday kisses from the nurses and support staff that brought that familiar crooked grin to his face. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m., in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. Officiating will be Pastor Werner Dietrich and Pastor Bruce Martin. Interment will follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care, 1 Morley Street, Wpg., MB R3L 2P4.
