ELSIE MARTIN 1907-2001 (nee GRAY) Elsie passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at the Maples Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her husband James; parents, Robert and Mary Gray; two sisters and two brothers. Elsie is survived by her daughter Doris (Joseph) sister Emma Fraser; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, at 1:00 p.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks and deep appreciation for the excellent care and kindness Elsie received from the wonderful staff at the Maples Personal Care Home. God looked upon his garden and found an empty space, Then he looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful for he only takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, He closed your weary eyes and whispered, Peace be Thine It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone, For part of us went with you to Gods garden, your new home.
