CHRISTINA PERRAULT Surrounded by her loving family, Mom passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23, 2001, at Jocelyn House. Mom was predeceased by her husband Ubald on March 1, 1981; her parents Martha and Maxim Chaboyer; sisters, Aline, Josie and Bertha; brothers, Stanley, Wallace and Amile. She is survived by her ten children, Evelyn (Rod), Ubald, Sylvia (Hector), Edgar (Alvina), Elmer (Helen), Mona (Paul), Annabelle (Ed), Jackie (Lyle), Priscilla, Pat (Rick) 34 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; brother Elmer; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Jeanne and Marie-Anna; brothers-in-law, Romuald (Anna-Marie) and Gerard. Mom was born and lived most of her life in St. Laurent. She spent much of her childhood in Long Lac, Ont., where her father was employed by CN. During the last three years, Mom made her home at Columbus Manor where she made many friends. Mom had many fond memories of her trips to Las Vegas and trips to the casino with her family and friends. Moms enjoyed sewing and knitting, and spent many hours creating treasures for her family. She loved nature and had a special fondness for hummingbirds and geraniums. Mom was a very giving and caring person, but her greatest gift was her love for her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. We always knew we were loved and we loved her back. We love you Mom and Granny, and thank you for being the kind of mother God had in mind when He created Mothers. Mom loved God and God loved her. We love you and will miss you. "Rest in Peace." Prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 28 at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Father D. Kerbrat O.M.I. and Rev. Father E. Kamath will officiate with a private family interment of cremains to follow. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Jocelyn House, Dr. Mark Kristjanson, Ruth, Gisele, Marie, Sarah, Jan, Nicole and Alvina. Words can not express our gratitude for the care and compassion given to our mom and her family. Though she was only there a short while, your expressions of love will be with us forever. Also, special thanks to Dr. Frame, Dr. Balko, Angele, Joanne, home care workers and others at Columbus Manor who shared a genuine concern for our mother. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Moms memory may be made to Jocelyn House, 177 Egerton Rd., Winnipeg, Man., R2M 2W7. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
