Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD STANLEY COX On Saturday, March 24, 2001 with family by his side at Boyne Lodge in Carman, Ron Cox of the Miami District passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years. Funeral service will be held at Doyles Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 28 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Bob Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at the Miami Cemetery. Ron was born on the farm on October 29, 1913, son of Henry and Alice Cox and brother of Sidney. He received his education at Mountain Glen School and farmed with his father. In 1948 he married Muriel Cliffe and they raised three children on the family farm. In 1974 he retired from farming and he and Muriel moved to the village of Miami. Ron enjoyed curling and golfing and in his later years he was an active member of the Miami Friendship Centre. He loved music and enjoyed playing guitar with his friends. Another hobby was working in his garden. Families gatherings were a highlight of his life. Ron was predeceased by his wife Muriel in April of 2000. He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Donna (Fern) Gervais, Harold (Nola) Cox, Dianne (Blaine) Pedersen; along with ten grandchildren, Marc, Paul (Tabitha), Philippe Gervais, Dallas (Jodi), Kevin, Tyler, Trevor Cox, Janice (Martin), Warren and Lyall Pedersen; and two great-grandchildren, Darian and Madison. He is also survived by his nephews, Clayton (Doreen) Cox and Alvin (Cathy) Cox and their families. He was predeceased by his brother Sid Cox. Your battle is over, your suffering is done. The family gratefully acknowledges the respectful and compassionate care given to our father and to ourselves by the staff at Boyne Lodge.
