Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA RAE ARNASON (nee IRWIN) Patricia Rae Arnason, beloved wife of Terry A. Arnason, died of lymphoma on March 26, 2001. Pat was born in Winnipeg on April 10, 1931. She attended Laura Secord School, Gordon Bell High School and the University of Manitoba. She earned two music diplomas, an Associate in Music, Manitoba, A.M.M. and a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music, L.R.S.M. Besides her husband Terry, Patricia is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Leslie Rae Arnason, Deborah Judith and Melanie Teresa Arnason; and her four grandchildren, Sean Phillip Taubner, Meagan Patricia Taubner, Heart Friend Infinity, and Harmony Light. Patricia was a grandniece of Nellie McLung and throughout her life exhibited Nellies energy and joy of life. Pat was a teacher of piano and a member of the Manitoba Registered Music Teachers Association, M.R.M.T.A. Inc. Patricia served in many capacities with M.R.M.T.A. Inc. including serving as president of the Winnipeg branch and the Provincial Association. One of Pats greatest joys was instilling a love of music in her students. In April 1997 Pat was presented with an honorary life membership in M.R.M.T.A. Inc. Pat touched many lives and made many friends; the members of the "Halifax Four" were especially dear to her, as was her dear friend Margie Price of St. Laurent, Quebec. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Galbraith of the Manitoba Clinic for his care over the years. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
