RAYMOND GERALD GODARD (1938-2001) Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, in which he showed great dignity and enormous strength, Raymond passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the Lorne Memorial Hospital, Swan Lake, Man. at the age of 62 years, beloved husband of Lorette Godard (nee Strobbe). Left to mourn his passing and to cherish his loving memory is his beloved wife and best friend Lorette of 39 and one half years; one son Darrell (Charlene) Godard; two daughters, Beverly (Ronald) Graham, and Cheryl (Bill) Watson; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy (Mike) Hacault, and Margaret Berry; mother-in-law, Judith Strobbe; and by four sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be said from the St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, Holland, MB on Friday, March 30 at 8:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated from the St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, Holland, MB on Saturday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m., with Fr. Gerry Sembrano officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Berchmans Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Raymonds memory to the Lorne Memorial Palliative Care Unit, Swan Lake, MB R0G 2S0, or to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9.
