Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOSWALD HENRY MICHOLSON On March 27, 2001, Oswald (Ossie) Henry Micholson passed away at 86 years of age at the Health Sciences Centre after being admitted on January 28, 2001, when he fell and broke his hip. Ossie grew up on Henderson Highway near Lockport in Gonor, Manitoba. He enjoyed partying and entertained many people with his witty one liners and his fiddle playing. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces (Air Force) during the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #1 on Sargent Avenue in Winnipeg for many years. Dad was always in good spirits and never complained about anything. He was a very generous man and he always had that wonderful grin to welcome you. He was predeceased by his mother Mary; father Henry; wife Julia (Sonie) brothers, Edgar (Merch), Stan (Stow) sisters. Jennie, Edith and Winnie. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten by his family, son Brent and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Bradley, Derek and Shelley of Winnipeg; daughter Cora-Lynn and her husband Andy Dmitruk of Selkirk; grandsons, Trevor and his wife Renelda of Winnipeg and Todd of Selkirk. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 2, at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Andrews on the Red Anglican Church, with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Interment of his ashes, along with his beloved wife Julias ashes will follow in the churchyard. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
