FLEDA MAE WHITE (nee PARROTT) Passed away peacefully in Neepawa District Memorial Hospital on March 23, 2001. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends. Born July 26, 1911 to Charles and Mary Parrott in Brookdale, MB, Fleda married Francis John White in 1937 and they farmed and raised their family in Franklin. The family enjoyed their yearly vacations in Clear Lake. Fleda was active in her community and the pleasure she took in curling, baseball and card games kept her young and involved with many people over the years. Her retirement years were spent in Neepawa, the last several years in Elks Manor where she enjoyed the company of her dear friends. Survived by her children, Gerald (Gail) White of Dauphin, Wilma (Garney) Kissick of Carman, Donna (Adrian) Kolton of St. Andrews and Raymond (Jackie) White of Medicine Hat; grandchildren, Debra, Suzanne, Kristine, Paul, Kerry, David, Joe, Brent and Neil and ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Francis in 1971 and brothers, William in 2000 and Lorne in 1942. Fledas love was for her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her many friends. The family wish to express their gratitude to the Neepawa Hospital staff, Dr. Poettcker and especially the Palliative Care volunteers for their loving kindness during her last days. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Neepawa District Palliative Care, would be appreciated. To honour Fledas request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at Neepawa United Church, Neepawa on Friday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Ball officiating. Interment in Boyd Cemetery, Bethany, MB.
