MARGARET VIOLA (VI) BROWN (nee LINTICK) Peacefully after a lengthy illness, we sadly announce the passing of Vi Brown, on March 28, 2001, at the Health Sciences Centre. Vi is survived by her beloved husband Jim of Winnipeg; son Les (Yvonne, grandchildren, Melissa and Kevin) of Pilot Butte, Sask., daughter Amber (Bob Winslade, grandchildren, Brad and fiancee Allison, A.J. and Kyle) of Lorette, Man.; sisters, Belle (Walter Peterson), Phyllis (Mervin Ash), Grace (Cec Winters) brothers, Bruce (Cecile), Louis (Norma) sisters-in-law, Lorna Martinez, Rilla Zillman (Wally), Evelyn Lintick, Phyllis Lintick; brothers-in-law, Roy (Evelyn), John (Judy) and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, in-laws, sister Hazel Litowitz; brothers, Ken, Les, Cec and Stan. Mom loved her garden and looked forward to planting her flowers each year. She enjoyed doing crafts of many kinds, and we will all miss getting those special things she had made. She was a homemaker who devoted her time to raising her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at the St. James Legion #4, Portage Avenue, on Friday, March 30 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date. Her friends and relatives are to be considered honorary pallbearers. A special thanks to Gord and Cheryl and the staff on HSC GA4 for their gentle and caring ways.
