JOSEPH EINAR ROSS Peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2001, at the Health Sciences Centre, Joseph Einar Ross, better known as Sho-Min to all, passed away at the age of 61 years. Joseph was born on May 31, 1939, at Poplar River. He spent many years at various places throughout Manitoba but considered Winnipeg his home. Joseph could be found praising the Lord and playing his keyboard on many occasions. He ministered in music with Max Solbrekken and had many special friends. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory two sons, Johnny Ross (Viola) and Thomas Ross (Jacklyn) three sisters, Doris Hudson (Alex), Edna Felix (Hubert) and Beatrice Thomas (Victor) two brothers, Charlie Ross (Olga) and Barney Ross (Rita) and eight grandchildren; there are numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by parents Edward and Winnie Ross and brother Victor Charlie. Prayers were said on Wednesday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30 at Jackhead. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jackhead Anglican Church with Pastor Alex Hudson officiating. Interment to follow at Jackhead Anglican Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Jason Thomas, Terry Thomas, Alex Hudson Jr., Hubert Felix Jr., Henry Ross and Eddy Hudson. Honorary pallbearers will be Reginald Hornbrook, Howard Traverse, Jimmy Ross, Lawrence Robinson, Walter Robinson, William Franklin and Johnny Lambert.
