MIKE SWARYCHEWSKI 1923 - 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear beloved brother and uncle, Mike. With his sisters, nieces and nephews by his side, Mike passed away at Beacon Hill Lodge on March 27, 2001, after a lengthy illness with Parkinsons Disease. Mike was predeceased by his mother Annie in 1945, father William in 1978, brother Steve, October 2, 1992, and his great-nephew Dwaine Skrabyk, February 11, 1995. He is survived by his sisters, Mary, Sophie, Helen and Rosie and many nieces and nephews. Mike was born and raised in Poplarfield, Man., and farmed there until he moved to Winnipeg where he was self-employed until his retirement. Mike loved being outdoors. One of his favourite pastimes was picking mushrooms. He also loved being with people; his great sense of humour and quick wit made for many wonderful conversations. He is remembered as a caring, generous and good hearted man who was well liked by all. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Beacon Hill Lodge for their kindness, caring and loving support. At Mikes request a private graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31 at St. Nicholas Parish Cemetery. Gone but not forgotten. Rest in Peace, Dear Brother and Uncle.
