JOHN ROBERT "BOB" LIPTROT Peacefully, on March 29, 2001, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Bob Liptrot passed away at the age of 74. Bob was predeceased by his parents and his sister Joyce. He is survived by his wife Marj; children, Tanya (Blake) Cutting, Rob (Patty Skelton) , Dale, Tracy (Brian) Quail; two sisters, Gladys (Ray) Biggs and Vi Morrell; brother Eric; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bob worked at Westons bakery from 1947 until retirement. Upon his retirement he took great pride and pleasure in being a "true baker" and sharing it with everyone, especially his children at Christmas time. Over the years, Bob was the President of the Sons of England, Foremans Club, Bakery Production Mens Club, Orioles Community Centre and he was a Cub Leader, Hockey Coach and Manager, as well he was involved in many other community activities. Whatever activity his children were involved in, Bob was always there to help in whatever way possible. Very special thank you to Dr. Frank Martin and the nurses and staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their warm compassionate care given to Bob over the past few years. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service for Bob will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Sunday, April 1, at 12:30 p.m., with a reception to follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
