The family moved to Winnipeg in 1958, where he worked for the City of Winnipeg until his retirement in 1981, but he still enjoyed going to the farm on weekends and helping out. After retirement, Dad took up fishing, taking along his grandchildren. He also enjoyed smoking his fish, making sausage and watching hockey and wrestling on television. In his later years, the Garden City Mall became his favourite hangout, where he would meet with friends for coffee until his illness caught up to him. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m., also at the Chapel.
