JAKE L. LOEWEN Aged 90 years of Altona, Manitoba (founder of Loewen Manufacturing), passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2001 at the Morden District General Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen; two daughters, Frances (Pete) Heinrichs and Grace (Richard) Knelsen; four sons, Lloyd (Joyce) Loewen, Warren (Sharon) Loewen, Dwight (Janette) Loewen and Lin (Louise) Loewen; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 1, at 2:30 p.m. at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Altona, with interment to follow at the Altona Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Wiebe Funeral Home on Saturday, March 31 from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., as well as prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MCC, 10 Main Street, Altona, Manitoba, R0G 0B0. Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona, 204-324-5404 in care of arrangements.
