Memorial Service KATHLEEN SARAH DOUGLAS WILLIAM STODDART DOUGLAS There will be a celebration of the life of Kathleen Sarah Douglas, as well as a memorial service for her husband William Stoddart Douglas, on Saturday June 23, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg. The Rev. Jim Hatherly of John Black United Church, along with members of the family will be participating. Friends are invited to attend. Kathleen, 92 years old, a longtime resident of East Kildonan, and a former executive secretary of the River East School Division, died peacefully on March 30, 2001. Her husband Bill, a former assistant manager of Simmons Ltd. was one of the organizers and the first president of the Bronx Park Community Club. He passed away on June 20, 1964 at 57 years of age. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Kathleen and Bill Douglas Scholarship Trust Fund, which has been established to provide scholarships to the University of Manitoba for deserving River East School Division students. Donations may be sent in care of K. Loewen C.A., 1101 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R2G 1L4. Arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at the Elmwood Cemetery in cooperation with Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
